It works, with some flaws

So at least it works. The first 2 clocks I bought didn't even do that. One couldn't keep decent time and needed adjusting weekly. The second had a broken alarm button that wouldn't turn off. So at least this one is useful as a clock. All I wanted was a clock I could see from the bed so I wouldn't have to fumble for my phone in the middle of the night - I don't need an alarm, don't need a radio, just the time.
This clock has a couple of significant flaws, neither of which is critical but I would pay more for a better clock. The first is that the alarm can turn on even when the alarm LED is off. If the alarm on/off switch is not fully pushed to the top to turn off the alarm, the indicator goes off while the alarm is still on. You'd think the same circuitry that turns on the alarm would also turn on the alarm indicator, but clearly not. So don't be surprised if you think the alarm is off and it wakes you up anyway.
Second, despite looking like an LCD clock, it's really an LED clock. That makes it much harder to read, but probably makes it really cheap to produce. Instead of lines for the segments of each number, they're just an LED in the middle that lights up a strip of red area. It's fine when set to bright, but when dimmed, the lines become hard to see, especially at the edges, making it hard to read. Also note that there are only 2 settings - bright and dim, rather than a slider, so your choices are either keeping it really bright (which you don't want near your bed) or too dim to read well.
