This Interesting Magic, Parallel Universe Continues.

This is book #3 for me after Penumbra and Shadow Magic and I continue to enjoy the Darkling Mage series. UF is a favourite of mine and I'm enjoying the mythology, the gods/entities, and a number of the characters give me a lot of enjoyment in the way they behave, some not as much. It's well written, including plenty of action throughout, and the usual snark and banter is definitely on page. I'm very interested to see where this 'verse, Dustin, and these characters take me next.
There are returning characters, new ones, new cults - Viridian Dawn step into the fold in Dark Harvest - and more I can't talk about for fear of spoiling the book.
In the well named Dark Harvest the world building continues to be good, tying in with Dionysus as the primary entity beautifully. All the different entities are still bringing their A game, like Amaterasu, and add something strong and purposeful each time. The author connects them to each story well and with such relatable detail that they contribute much to the series primary arc and the MC’s direction. The action is on point and more characters are joining the series in a way that is progressive without overwhelming the reader. Dustin’s search for his father continues and I feel that will be far more than he bargained for.
Because of the quality of the writing, because of my cheeky Sterling, because of the overall story, because of my continued interest in where this is all going and how it will eventually end, and especially because of the vividness of this world and its beings, the action, Dark Harvest gets a strong 4 Stars!
