To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I bought an earlier version of this book, primarily because I liked author Mike Killen's blog. While I like blogs, I love books - it's much easier for me to remember where to find information I'm looking for and much easier for me to use as a reference. I figured I'd be getting something like the Sell Your Service blog, but in book form. In some ways that's true, but it's so much more than that. This book opened my eyes to what I could be doing in my small, one-person biz. It is really a road map to scaling out your business. This book gives a lot of practical information and packages it all together in a way I hadn't seen before. I recommend this book to any freelancers who have realized they just traded one boss for many bosses, and who want to build an actual business.
The book goes into very good detail about how you can scale your business. It highlights the fears many of us feel when looking at other business opportunities. Or, indeed how to make our business have recurring income and be stable. It dismisses the fears with truth and explains exactly how you as an individual or sole trader colonel recurring income if you work at it. Finally the tone of voice is exactly as I would expect it's informative educational and entertaining. I think following the rules that are highlighted throughout the book will certainly help me as a business person expand my offering. I loved it.
