Book 5 is almost as good as Book 1. Another great book in a great series

This is the 5th book in the series. The 1st book was an exceptional story that caught you up in its narrative from the first page to its conclusion. It was literally a book you could not put down. The follow on stories were excellent but not quite up to the 1st book. Then again, that was an exceptionally high bar as it might have been one of the better, unique, scifi storylines I have ever read. Book 5 comes close to the 1st book in the quality of it writing and the break neck pace of the plot.
A quick synopsis here without trying to reveal any spoilers. Dean Parker is distraught losing his wife to the Iskios. He strikes out to find the Theos and in the course of his search eventually finds them in the most obvious of places. He needs the Theos help to recover Mary, his wife, and to stop the Iskios before they can finish using the Unwinding to destroy life in the universe. I'll stop here as to get any further will reveal to many plot points
This is an exceptional read. The book goes by quickly with no flat spots in the stroytelling. You know, the ones where you want to skip paragraphs or pages. I read it in one sitting and was satsified with its conclusion, which was appropriate to this book in the series. The series has been unique and has not gotten stale. It is a must read. To anyine new to this series, start at the Book1 first and be prepared to want to read all 5 books to date. A 6th book comes out in November. I've already pre ordered
