A look at Empty Bodies, 30 years out

I suggest that you read the 6-book series Empty Bodies first. While you could enjoy this book as a stand-alone story, there are Easter eggs in this story that you won't get without having read the series.
So, it's 30 years out and we get to see what's up with things. Unfortunately, we really only get direct info on a few characters, and hints about others. I was satisfied with the former, a bit frustrated with the latter.
I understand to get a 30 year update on everyone, the author would have had to write a much longer book.
Maybe hopefully we'll get to enjoy another update.

I was so sick of the kidnappings and bad men from Empty Bodies that I couldn't get past the men taking Shells home right off the bat. Sorry, just couldn't read another book that was the exact same thing.

Amazing amazing book. I could NOT put it down. This book offers exactly what you want from a Post-Apocalyptic zombie book. You have romance without being overbearing, you have drama without being redundant, mystery without giving away the plot, and characters you can actually relate to.

If you are looking for a book that will take your mind off the day and that you can immerse yourself into, this is your guilty pleasure. This is a great wrap-up to the Empty Bodies series.

Don't expect a 'happy little bow' on this book. It's a stark realization that not everything has a happy ending.

Mr. Bohannon has a great way with words and is a master of his craft. I would definitely read his other books.

Great Revisiting The World of Empties!

Great premise coming back 30 years after "the fall". It's been a while since I finished book 6 in the series so it took me a while to figure out who Dylan was but then it all came together. You definitely don't need to read the 6 part Empty Body series to enjoy this book, but I highly recommend it as it's a great series. There might even be a continuation to this book as Zach eluded to in his Afterword. Great post apocalyptic story. Enjoy it!

A quiet little town, road bandits and a new family all await Shell. The action, the characters and the storyline all keep you engaged. Give it a try.
