Main character is just too much
Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2020
Ugh. Tori is just too much. She's too snarky, too defensive, too independent, too everything. This was bearable in the previous book where all of her too muches were tempered by the three guys she was becoming friends with.
In this book we start out strong, but it doesn't take long for her to be separated from everyone from the first book. And while there might be interesting characters, Tori's bull-headed approach to investigation was setting my teeth on edge so I couldn't really get interested in learning about any of them. And how is it that every guy around Tori is so hot she has trouble focusing? Again, just too much. I just couldn't keep reading after the scene where she manages to get a glimpse of The Ghost.
