Best book on Baptism I have ever read

This is the best defense of biblical padeobaptism I have ever read. This is an easy to understand book that is simply superb at explaining infant baptism. The arguments in this book are totally scriptural and very powerful. Doug Wilson shows without a doubt that God commands the Children of believers to be Baptized into the Christian Church and that immersion is not the exclusive mode of baptism. He also shows much of the Biblical doctrine of the covenant and apostasy from a reformed perspective.
In Chapter 1, he deals with the Biblical Theology of Children, showing that Children are always included amounst the saints.
In Chapter 2, he brilliantly deals with the continuity and discontinuity between the Old and New Covenants. He soes the imperfections and failures of the Old Covenant and the power of the New Covenant.
In Chapter 3 he deals with the old covenant rite of Circumcision and it's symbolism.
In Chapter 4, he presents Baptism as circumcisions replacement.
In Chapter 5, he shows the relation between Baptism and Circumcision.
In Chapter 6, he gets to the real crux of the matter. Presenting a surprising and utterly convincing argument for Infant Baptism by showing the view of circumcision in the New Teastament. He shows that the NT Church's understanding of circumcision necessitates infant Baptism.
In Chapter 7, he deals with the nature and objectivity of the Covenant, showing this Biblical doctrine in a proper reformed perspective.
In Chapter 8, he presents another surprising and strong case by virtue of Abraham.
In Chapter 9 and 10, he proves without a shred of doubt that Immersion is not the only Biblical way of baptism.
And in Chapter 11 we wraps things up with a summary conclusion in light of the covenant.
I can not say it enough, that this book is fantastic. It is extremely convincing and solidly biblical. If you are exploring the doctrine of Infant Baptism and the Covenant, or trying to convince others, this is the book for you. This is an absolute must read. Fantastic.
