Top critical review
Somewhat good concept, poor writing, horrible editing.

The concept for the story was OK although it's been done too many times. The characters were for the most part engaging and interesting although there were several consistency issues. There are several instances where the characters fail to come up with solutions that seem overly obvious and you almost feel like screaming at them to wake up.
The worst part was the editing or lack thereof. It appeared that the author didn't even read his own work before publishing. There's just no excuse for this level of sloppiness.
For $0.99, this trilogy was fairly priced. If I had paid more, I'd be pissed. I kept wondering to myself why I didn't just ditch this series and go on to something else. I ended up reading the whole thing. I'm sure the author put a great deal of work into this trilogy but a little more effort on the editing front would have paid huge benefits.
