Small cooking surface, not what should be expected in a 12" pan, too much side slope
Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2018
Although this pan is 12 inches at the top, it is only 9 inches at the bottom. No other frying pan or skillet I have loses more than 2 inches in diameter from top to bottom and the item description does not specify the unusual fact that this one does. I have a 10 5/8" skillet with the same bottom surface as this pan and my 12" cast iron skillet has 10 1/2 " of bottom cooking surface. When I received the product I realized that it would not work for the full range of purposes for which I had purchased it due to the deficient cooking surface. I initiated a return, then found out I would have to pay for the shipping costs despite being a Prime customer. Facing almost 9 dollars in shipping costs I decided that it was worth keeping despite the fact that I would still have to buy another properly proportioned skillet. I love the Ozeri 12" saute pan that I bought at the same time, which is a full 12" bottom to top, but I am not a fan of this item.
