Requires you to Accept the warning Sony gives about using Third Party Batteries
Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2020
When I first got this kit, it worked with the older firmware 2.x. Since the latest version 3.x (I lost track) on my A7III, the screen will give a warning some time after startup about the danger(s) of using third party batteries. While you can click OK to accept, just beware that you cannot proceed if you neglect to click OK/Proceed.
This is a problem if you want to power on and start shooting right away. (Or it can be a problem). It can interrupt what you hoped to do, and potentially cause you to miss shots. The warning doesn't show immediately, so it slows your workflow down.
The battery life is good enough (FZ-100 series) that I just leave the camera powered on when I'm shooting. (Plus I use a grip.) As long as I remember to accept the warning, it hasn't been a problem with the rest of the shoot.
Still... it would have been nice if it were 100% compatible as advertised at the beginning - or if there were an exchange program.
