To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I concur with many of the reviews - too many sex-capades and references. WTH? The character is in his 50s and the books are supposed to be crime genre. Gratuitous and totally unrealistic. No more of the Stone books for me.
Gluttony should be the title of this latest dud. Woods seems to be preoccupied with soft porn and has completely abandoned plot. Beginning to think he should hang it up and let Stone sail off into the sunset
Stuart Woods laid and egg with this book. Usually simple but a good read, this book's plot is ridiculously lazy and quite unbelievable from Woods. Hopefully Stuart hasn't run out of good ideas for this character
Mr Woods used to be a fun light summer read with an occasional creative plot with interesting players. Mr. Barrington, the central character, is now opting for a porno star lead somewhere instead of the wealthy and presumably talented legal mind of much earlier editions. A romance novel -- not.
