For all of the Red Team series, the working of the OWO have been slowly peeled back. It is not pretty, and there's some ruthless people at work. We are invested in these characters as we have watched their lives change. Now we are being introduced to the outcomes of the OWO's experimentation and manipulation. It's unlike what we've previously seen but it's not unexpected. We've been getting hints something like this has been going on and now we are actually seeing the result. No Spoilers...but its really cool. Now we have a new batch of fighters of the OWO and they have special skills. That's as far as I am going to go in that direction. It is, at its core, a love story. And quite the touching love story it is. I wasn't sure when I began how I would feel about this, but I really really enjoyed it. I was enchanted by the characters, especially knowing I would be seeing them in future books. I really liked seeing "old friends" from the Red Team (so glad we are not completely done with them yet). Elaine writes a wicked story and she captures you in her world. You get vested in her people and you want them to find their happily ever after. But along the way you cheer for them, cry for them, and eagerly anticipate their next adventure. Although you can read this book standalone, I would highly recommend reading the Red Team series first.

I found myself wondering if Ms Levine had been reading too many sci-fi and glittery vampire books. I was incredibly disappointed when I started this book for a couple reasons. I was hoping for a continuation of the Red Team series which I adore. What I ended up with is a deviation from that storyline that infects the original series with it’s outrageousness. I was distraught about where she was taking this although I expected some elements of the fantastic given the direction the Red Team series was going when we last saw them. When I started the red team series It was Because I enjoy that particular genre of real, live action/romance. This was a ride I didn’t sign up for and frankly I don’t appreciate being hijacked with concepts like hyper tube travel. I decided to stick it out because I really want to read Selena’s story and I can’t very well do that without reading this. I was surprised that eventually as I surrendered to the outlandish nature of the story that I did start to enjoy it. So basically what I’m saying is you have to put your preconceived notions aside or this will be torture. It wasn’t easy and I almost quit about half way through. I did make it to the end feeling better about the whole thing but it really was a shift from what I had come to love and expect from Ms Levine’s work. I am glad that the sex wasn’t over done as sometimes is the case in these books. Some of us actually enjoy a plot line and don’t require so much details on the sexy time. In fact, I often skip through a lot of that part. Some of that is fine but when it’s too much of the book it starts to get boring. And I’m going to say it, as NON-PC as this comment is, I’m really tired of having interracial relationships pushed from every which way and was really disappointed that the heroine of this story couldn’t be a beautiful black woman. It’s just so cliche these days that the hot black guy ends up with the hot blond. I also think it’s funny that I post a less than excellent review and then almost immediately there is a five star review posted by someone else. Hmmm.

O-Men: Liege’s Legion is the first book in a Paranormal Romance series that is a crossover with The Red Team, a Romantic Suspense series by the same author. Both series deal with a common enemy, The Omni, but from different organizations.

The Red Team and the Legion fight the Omni, but one fights the humans that are a part of the Omni while the other fights the altered humans or mutants that were created in the Omni’s labs. These “soldiers” were injected with nanotechnology that grants them supernatural powers such as telekinesis, telepathy, the ability to alter reality, erase memories, invisibility, project illusions, etc.

The Legion is an organization composed of a great number of altered humans who rebelled against their creators, and now fight their evil creations while protecting humanity from total doom.

Sam Garrick aka Liege is the leader of the world wide Legion of altered humans as well as the lead warrior in a group of friends that were with him at the training camps where they were changed forever and now share a Fort in a land near Fort Collins, Colorado. Sam is a romantic, down to earth, old soul that has found himself in the rare situation of meeting his life mate. Sam is left questioning whether or not this could be an enemy trick or the sick joke of a long lost legend in the world of mutants. In his world, Love was a Curse. Love was dead. Summer was his end.

Summer Coltrane is a human, or as referred to by mutants, a regular. She is working her dream job in a place that she dislikes and lately even fears. She surrounds herself with peace, beauty and the friendship of two wonderful women that are by all accounts her soul sisters. She is a creative, brave, sweet, and vegetarian heroine. Meeting Sam meant finding the one, the man that her romantic soul has been yearning for, but it also meant accepting the impossible, that monsters are real and that evil incarnate was after her. Loving Sam meant a life without peace.
Liege’s Legion is a good beginning to what feels like another great series by Mrs. Elaine Levine. A series full of breathtaking twists and unforgettable characters in world beautifully crafted.

It was fun to finally read the start to the O-Men series. You first meet Liege and Summer. You also learn he has a daughter, whom is friends with Summer. You also learn the "matchmaker" matches them to humans. That was interesting. It was strange how Liege's mate is friends with his daughter Kiera. A bit weird but this book isnt normal. Flynn waa the epitpne of a monster. I felt so bad for Merc and Acier. Merc couldn't save her, and Acier couldn't keep track of her. What a mess! I loved seeing these tw9 relatuonship progress buy also see the other team members. You can also see ig you read the red team why Bastian was they way he was with Selena and the guys on her team. These guys are weird with their modifications but seem to want to protect the humans. Keira and Ash were so different but it was interesting to see how Leige's daughter was....always the voice of reason. It was interesting to see how she called him Sam even after he told her his real name. That was interesting. Bastian....i knew he be a handful. He will be an interesting mate. I likrs how Guerre could heal. I can't wait to see who is mate will be. It made me cry a bit when Summer decided they couldnt be together. That about killed me. It was interesting how Sam was at one point his name and she calls him that. It was kind of cute. I was suprised to see Summer change, but it made sense because how could she stay human and be with Leige. Makes me wonder what will happen with the other mates. Welp! I think Keira and Guerre will be mates. Then we know Selena and Bastian are. That leaves Merc and Acier. I can't wait to see how their storiea go and if the red team can finally trust these guys. I'm glad Sam(Leige) and Summer got together. Now I can't wait for Selena and Bastian, maybe finally the red team and the legion can get along. Hopefully.

Having read the Red Team series it was great to get the perspective of some of those forced into the trials and how they felt and dealt with what happened, the on going fight with mutants and trying to find answers. This is action packed and exciting, full of interesting places and characters, it also has some love. The descriptions are detailed and clear so give you an image in your head of the look of both places and people. Fast flowing plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat at times, and others melting with emotion. I love these men and it breaks my heart what was done to them and how it all affected their whole life, the fear and worry and the sadness and anger. Though complex the story was easy fore to follow as I knew threw the background from the previous series, I am however looking forward to a time when both sides merge because working together may benefit them all as each brings answers, questions and solutions to the table. Fantastic read

Not sure if I like the direction this author is taking. I really liked most of the Red Team series (a few got a little smutty for me) but did not enjoy the mutant twist or the ghouls much. Really wanted to follow Serena' story but not sure if I will.
If you like mutants and ghouls you'll probably enjoy this book but it has deviated considerably from the Red Team.

First off I have never disliked any book written by Elaine Levine. Second I have read everything currently in the list at the end of this book. I am thrilled about this series which touches on things that are possible but not proven. It's quite simple and thrilling. But it brings in bits and pieces of characters I already know and love. I think to you could start with the O series but I think it would be a great idea to get busy with the Red Team Series while we await Bastiin's book. Liege and Summer are a strong beginning you constantly root for their happiness and success as you read. Please come along for the ride I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I was initially skeptical about this new, paranormal spin on the fictional fight against the OWO. But I must say I am not disappointed! I’m falling in love with Liege and his team and I am looking forward to seeing how this series develops.
Side note** if you are a fan of the Red Team series, this is definitely a left turn from what we have seen before, but totally in the realm of possibility in the world the author has created for us! This book is full of characters that are strong and fiercely loyal and loyal with a little fun and humor thrown in too😉

Loved this spin-off series of the Red Team.
It is a luttle more paranormal/sciencw fiction than thw original series but not too far out of reality.

Liege and Summer are a good match. Thw beginning was a little slow for me (approx the first 4 chapters) but I have read the entire Red Team series.

You do NOT have to read those books bwfore this one though. Those first 4 chapters so a good job of setting the stage for rhe O-Teams ability and story as the timing is set as a bit of overlap.

Can't wait for Bastion & Selena!!

Ok...knowing Elaine through her Red Team series, I knew I was in for a ride and a half with Liege. That being said, I truly wasn't ready for this book! It took me a bit to get over all the paranormal in the beginning of the book (all necessary to set the series up). Once through it, I was able to sink in to the beginning of what is shaping up to be one heck of a series. Liege and Summer have a combustible relationship that set the pages on fire. Of course it wouldn't be an Elaine Levine book without some 'did I just read that' or 'no, she didnt' moments. Truly a great book that starts a fantastic new series. I can't wait for more!
