If your a Masters and Mercenaries fan reading the Forgotten series is a must because the series is an extension of M&M (fans will understand the pun was intended) ,of which there can never be to many books, and to finally discover who the Lost Boys are.
Ok before I go any further I need to put out a Reader WARNING while I still have your attention. Chapter 15 should have a warning label on the first page, but since it doesn't I am going to give you the very important warning.......
Chapter 15 should Not be started until you have first, emptied your bladder ( just trust me, I'm speaking from experience, you'll thank me later), then make sure you are Not drinking anything until the chapter is over, otherwise you will either be spraying the room or needing a heimlich maneuver from choking on your own laughter..... luckily I was able to keep my projectile spray to a minimum and only had to clean my entire kindle fire, it's protective cover and ,oh yea, the entire front of my robe, but it could have been a whole lot worse if my sip had been just a sip bigger, your just better keeping all liquids out of reach ,that includes not holding coffee or tea (esp. if it's hot). This chapter has some of Lexi Blake's best comedic writing ever and since it is an off shoot of the M & M series you only need to know that "Big Tag" was involved to understand why !!! I know you will all be tempted now to go straight to chapter 15 first, but don't, it is all the better for having read the previous chapters...... just please don't forget to take a potty break after Ch.14, esp. if your anywhere near menopause or have had multiple children, if your memory has already packed up and left home just invest in those "adult pull ups", then you don't have to worry about embarrassing yourself if you forget.
I also highly recommend keeping tissue close at hand because both our H/h stories will touch you and break your heart, Jax more so than River's, but anyone who was daddy's girl will empathize w/her pain. I was touched even more by their self discovery throughout the book and glad that the reader was given the chance to kind of ride along on their personal journey, I almost felt like I had had a really good therapy session by the end.
While each book in this series will focus on an individual "lost boy", Blake has done a great job of building the suspense about the other men, by adding snippets of details with out giving anything away, darn it ! However, we learn something very importantabout Ezra Fain, it's interesting enough to have me almost liking him enough to cheer for his future and the wheels are all ready working on which way that future will go. The Forgotten series can be read on it's own, but if your new to Lexi Blake's books I highly recommend you start w/her Master's & Mercenaries series so you grow to know and love the characters and learn the backstory on how the "Lost Boys" came to be, there isn't a bad book in the bunch and they will become keepers in your re-read library........ and you will become a Lexi Blake fan, too, from your very first book (just a heads up, if you don't like HOT sex scenes, she might not be the author for you).
Hey Lexi, is Big Tag modelled after someone you know, if so would you ask him if I could be his sister from another mother, or at the very least friends because we would get along so well ! I am even a born and bred Texan , just a little misplaced right now.
