I have read and reviewed other books by this author, namely his bilingual ones, both English/German and English/French. I found those books to be a lot of fun and well suited for children who are being raised bilingual. This is the first book of his I've reviewed that is strictly in English. At least a part of this book comes from some of those previous ones I've read. This is a chapter book that could be read by a late beginning reader as well as one that could be read to a younger child. The animal characters in this book are well drawn and engaging. I imagine a child could identify with Titus the badger who is a little bit different because of his green spots! The book follows the adventures of the clumsy groundhog and his friends. A light, easy, and imaginative read that I think children would enjoy.
