Sass Master is the first book in the Catamount Shifters series & is based in Milly Taiden's Sassy Ever After world. In it we meet human Jewel & cougar shifter Ethan.
Jewel is a human that was adopted by a wolf shifter family & raised in their pack. She always felt like an outsider in her pack, though, & knew she was nothing special. But everything changes when her intuition turns into visions that she can't control. Top that off with running into her teenage love while at a wedding & Jewel starts feeling like she's in over her head.
Ethan's only love disappeared from his life 10 years ago. When she shows up at the wedding of a friend he's determined to show Jewel that they belong together. But can he protect her when her visions start to take a dangerous turn?
I had a bit of a time rating this book. On one hand, it's really well written with main characters that are strong & likeable. The supporting cast is made up of characters from the original stories as well as new ones & they work wonderfully in the story. The plot line is interesting & kept me turning pages - BUT! It felt unfinished. There are some questions that are left unanswered & I was left hanging. I was under the impression it was a stand alone book, but it feels more like a cliff hanger & I'm not generally fond of them. But all in all, this one is worth a chance.
This book will capture your attention and hold you until the very end. The author did a fantastic job of keeping the Sassy Ever After vibe flowing when she paired this sass master up with her furry hero. I love how we see a new side to the Wolfe family and the danger and excitement of the storyline. I love how these two characters reach their HEA and I can’t wait to see what the author brings us next.
I'm so lost with this book and I really hoped to enjoy it. Multiple names used for FMC, had me pulling at my hair. This is a DNF for me. I have some other titles from this, new to me, author and I hope I have better luck.
