Don’t normally buy insurance products, but i had a prior robot vacuum die an early death so i purchased a warranty. Well my robot vacuum broke. I contacted Asurion and the proces was easier and way faster than expected. I’m not a review person, but i felt they deserved it! Way to go Asurion.

So, I almost never buy extended warranties but I've had Roombas in the past that broke, and this plan was only like $30 bucks so I figured why not. Later, I get an email saying "Your Amazon Purchase is Protected!" or some such thing. No where on the Email did it say anything about a Roomba and the Roomba invoice didn't even mention the extended warranty. I decided to file a "test claim" just to see what the process was like. When you go to their site, it asks for the Order Number. I paste that in from the email, and it asks me to login to my Amazon account which I do. It pops up and says "Hey is this for your Roomba such and such?" and I hit yes. Next, it says "Let's identify your product" and I'm like uhh dude you just told me, it was for the Roomba. So I type in "Roomba" and then it asks for the product type. The only option is "Battery charger". So at this point, I'm questioning if this warranty even covers the Roomba I bought. So I click on the little Chat agent icon and talk to someone.

After checking the order number, he's like "Yea you bought the wrong warranty, you need such and such protection plan". Uhh, I literally just clicked Add to Cart on the Roomba and it popped up asking if I wanted to purchase a 3 year protection plan and I said yes. I didn't choose anything. You just sold me the wrong thing. In the end, I decided to just get a refund for the protection plan and luckily that was a pretty easy process (just a few mouse clicks).

At this point, I'm curious how many people buy these extended protection plans off Amazon and only figure out it's the wrong one when they go to file a claim. Pretty sweet deal for Asurion! Don't file a claim, they get $30 bucks. Do file a claim? They just say you bought the wrong plan and they keep your $30. I want to run a business that just gets free money from people too! Complete and utter scam, and Amazon and Asurion needs to be held accountable for linking the wrong protection plan to products.

This is stated by this company as a 3 YEAR Floorcare EXTENDED Protection Plan. The vacuum I purchased has a 2 year manufacturer's warranty. In the fine print I see that this covers incidents that occur after the manufacturer's warranty ends, YET the clock starts ticking on this plan on the date of purchase??? So if they only technically cover ONE year, how can they feel ok telling people that this is a THREE year extended warranty??? Terrible, completely false advertising and shouldn't be allowed on Amazon, let alone recommended BY Amazon! Will be contacting Amazon regarding this.

I ordered the 36 month floorplan from Asurion, the email receipt I received shows that I purchased the 36 month floorplan. When I went to Asurion's website to confirm my plan, it shows that the warranty I purchased is for the Kitchen Service plan. When I contacted Asurion via chat, they told me to contact Amazon to purchase the correct plan. When I contacted Amazon they said that my purchase was for the floorplan. This company is totally disorganized and a complete nightmare to deal with! Good luck if you ever have to file a claim.

My iRobot i3 ran over some dog poop, as you can imagine it's not going to be functional again. I thought I would see if this qualifies as an accident but I open the webpage, enter my order number, I see details of my iRobot i3, then the next page asks me to identify my item. Well iRobot isn't recognized, so I try Roomba, it is recognized then I have to select product type and my only option is Battery Charger. They would probably just deny the claim anyway, so I wanted to let everyone know that their description describes how easy filing a claim is and that is just not true at all.

This was supposed to be a protection plan for several products that I planned to purchase. I ended up canceling said products and assumed that the Asurion protection plans would naturally be cancelled, too. They weren't. And what followed was an absolute hassle. Take my advice, DON'T buy Asurion, period. And tread carefully when considering any protection plan that's offered through Amazon. This is the most serious review that I have ever submitted. I mean every word.

Approximately 17 months ago, we purchased a Robot Vacuum off of Amazon and I also purchased the Asurion Service Policy along with it. Fast forward to late February this year, when we started having issues with it. Contacted the manufacturer and worked with them over several days trying to fix the problem and ultimately were told I needed to send it in for repairs. In talking with them, I learned the repairs and shipping would be over half what a new unit would cost and I wasn't very happy. My wife and I talked about it and she was surprised I hadn't purchased the service policy on it, since I normally did, when lead me to do some research on why didn't us. And after stumbling around, I discovered I had purchased the Asurion policy. So I gritted my teeth and called Asurion to start the laborious process of getting them to take care of it. BOY, was I surprised at how easy it was. I went to their website and followed the instructions and soon on a chat program with one of their specialists, who was EXTREMELY helpful, friendly and easy to deal with. I was assured they would take care of it quickly. Within minutes they send me the paperwork to talk the unit to the local UPS store to be shipped back for the repair. It took about a week for the until to get into their service department and I received communications from them at each step and was fully aware of the status each day. Early this week, I received notice they were waiting on a part for it and thought how long would this take. Within days, I received another indicating the part had arrived (that quickly???) and they were in the process of completing the repair. THE VERY NEXT DAY, I received another email saying the repair did not work and they were refunding me the full purchase price of the unit, minus tax and cost of the service policy. I was completely surprised at the ease and complete satisfaction of how Asurion backed their service policy. As to the refund, they refunded me via an Amazon Gift Card, which I quickly added to our account and will be using it for paying for the multiple purchases we process weekly via Amazon. I have purchased extended warranties for over 50 years and experienced agony at times getting companies to back them. This was the first that did it BEYOND my expectations. I highly recommend Asurion due to price, ease of processing the claim and ultimately for standing behind their word and making us happy.

Purchased a Roomba 960 with this protection plan. Took a couple of uses to realize this model is garbage, so I’m sending back and this company issued my refund with out any hesitation.

So I don’t know if the warranty is any good or not, but I’ll definitely use this company again if needed.
