Honored a replacement when my printer was not repairable

I purchased an HP printer in July 2020 and the Asurion insurance along with it. The printer never worked right, but HP (under their warranty) kept assuring me it was the cartridges, even though I was using their InstantInk plan - lol!
Finally, when I couldn't get even a picture to print w/any correct coloring, I decided to contact Asurion and get them to repair or replace. After almost 3 weeks, they decided the printer was irreparable and provided me with an Amazon gift card in the amount of the printer (less taxes and insurance). So, I couldn't complain about that.
The only reason for a 4 and not a 5 star rating, I feel that the decision could've been made much sooner than 3 weeks. I have been w/out a printer/scanner for 3 weeks and then trying to order a replacement printer has had its challenges with supply chain issues. So, bottom line, be prepared that a repair or replacement might take longer than you expect. However, the outcome was at least fair (minus the inconvenience).
