Needed to fix a router. I had paid for the Protection Plan. Contacted Asurion. They immediately emailed return instructions. I sent the unit back to them and within 3 days of their verified receipt of the unit, they contacted me. They couldn’t fix the router, so they immediately “refunded” the cost of the router (via an Amazon credit). This worked well for me and I have no hesitation in accepting the Protection Plan when buying other technology items (but do a cost benefit analysis if it’s right for you). As far as I’m concerned, the Protection Plan works well and is worth the cost.
