When I transitioned my kid from a car seat to a booster seat, he was no longer able to buckle himself because the seat belt buckle kept being pushed between the seats when he tried to buckle up. I used this product and the seat belt buckle slides out of this device as the seat belt still slides in between the seats in slower motion with this on, so he still couldn’t buckle up independently. Finally I removed this device and shoved two rolled up wash cloths in between the seats under the seat belt buckle and now my kid can buckle himself.
