They won't honor the contract if you don't have the broken item... NOT PART OF THE CONTRACT.

I bought a FitBit for my daughter's birthday and purchased an Asurion plan, well, because she's 8. As expected, my daughter broke the FitBit and it got tossed in the trash. I filed a claim with Asurion, and they said since the item was "lost" they would not honor the claim. I called B.S. on their definition of "lost" and reviewed the contract. The contract only mentions lost once, and it refers to lost data. There is nothing in there which requires return of the broken item. I called them on it, and said I wanted to go to arbitration. Instead they refunded the cost of the insurance contract, which cancels my opportunity to make these crooks pay. Shadiest company ever.
