Feels rushed... (Possible SPOILERS)
Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2019
First, I'll say that I LOVE KF Breene's books... One of the best authors that I've found on Kindle Unlimited, and I make sure to always buy her books (I don't read them for 'free' and then send them back). I have liked some of Shannon Mayer's books as well, and I thought the first two books in this series were sooo good (but too short!). However, this third book seemed rushed. I feel that there were some unanswered questions or parts that were skimmed over - for example, Gregory's kidnapping. He gets rescued near the end of the book, but we don't hear from him exactly how he got kidnapped. We don't know exactly what happened to Wild after she got kicked in the face by Sideburns, we don't know how Colt got caught, we don't learn why Wild didn't get an invitation to the games in the first place, we don't know why the Shadow Killer is after Wild and her family, we don't know why they wanted Billy (Wild's brother) to come to the games so badly, etc...
KF Breene said that she and Shannon were just wanted to see how this series would be received, and that they might add more books based on the response of the readers. Well, I for one hope and pray that they make more (and longer) books in this series. Again, I loved the first two books and I love most of the characters (Wild, Wally, Peter, Orrin, Gregory), but I just needed these questions answered.
