Tactical operator book for tactical special operations with tactical ops and tac ops. I listened to an interview with this author on the Meateater podcast and was very interested in his work in the field. The author was very interesting and had lots of interesting stories about the drug trade and how it affected the environment and hunters (like me). I GREATLY APPRECIATE WHAT THE AUTHOR HAS DONE TO HELP this situation and greatly appreciate his vocation. I am a former LEO and I know what work he does is extremely difficult and he deserves all of our respect. I mean NO disrespect for this guy, other than his ability as a writer. I couldn't get past the extremely boring first 5 chapters. Every other word was tactical, ops, operator, code word delta, etc. It seemed like he wanted to be some kind of para-military kind of a$$hole that all good military and LEO guys despise. I really wanted to like this book. I really enjoyed his interview, and he seems like a really great guy with a lot of valuable information that NEEDS to be made more public. I just don't think this book reflected his real personality and seemed to make him more "tactical" than necessary. I'm more disappointed that it wasn't written better.
