I am really enjoying this series

It doesn't really bother me so much that the books end in what the 1 star reviewers are calling cliff hangars, because the story is so good that I look forward to the next installment. What does bother me though, is that at the end of this book, the author stated that she may end the series just because a few reviewers were upset that the story isn't wrapping up the way they want it too. Well, no one is forcing these people to buy the next book, so I don't understand why they don't just stop reading the series and go find something else. I've done that with a few authors for different reasons. Just don't buy any more books and move on.
Just like another favorite author of mine, this story is written in "episode" form. One mystery wraps up by the end of the book, but another one begins. The author has a great writing style and a wonderful sense of humor. And, her books are not riddled with typos and grammatical errors like a lot of the ebooks on Amazon that are written via an online story generator and then tag teamed by a writer's group which uploads the abysmal results every 6 weeks like clockwork.
Instead, this author has created a wonderful world of great characters with a pretty good mystery too. And I, for one, hope she doesn't get distracted by the naysayers and continues writing it for as long as she wants to. It's fun and it's nice to get to know and like (or dislike) the characters as one gets farther into the series. The story gets you involved rather than being a read it and forget it book, like so many others I've read.
So if you're looking for a tongue in cheek, fun ride through Vampire land, this series is for you. But, if you can't tolerate waiting for the next episode, then you may want to wait and buy them all when the series has concluded. In the meantime, I hope Mr. Nice finds himself an equally odd counterpart to his quirky personality so the he may also find his soul mate. After all, Siouxsie Sioux or Chrissie Hynde have to be vampires right?
