To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The book isn't bad, but I was expecting more. It talks about different kinds of scientists and what they do. However, all the illustrations are recycled from Ruth Spiro's other books. Spiro's other books each feature one child and you follow that child through the story to learn about the subject. But since this book is a compilation of illustrations from her other books, you don't get the same story line and it comes across as disjointed. Feels like a money grab to recycle old material, and I wouldn't have ordered if I knew there were no new illustrations. That being said, I'm sure my kid won't mind nearly as much as I do.
