It is most definitely a cheesy pulp. But that is fun from time to time. It has predictable tropes, like ancient conspiracies, a glamorous female thief, ancient treasure, cryptic clues, etc. But that is what it is supposed to be and it does it well. The dialogue is snappy and amusing and in general it is a pleasant "candy drama". it does not pretend to be anything other than what it is not and does what it is quite well.

Great show...I couldn't stop watching...even when Prime started charging for free season

I love the show. It was advertised as Season One free with Prime. So I began to watch. The first 3 episodes were free, and then the next three had to be paid for. I did pay, as I love the show. I am really disappointed that Prime, which is usually so fair to customers, mislabeled or changed in midstream. I would love a refund and hope other customers will not start watching without being aware that they will have to pay for part of Season One.

The perfect show for cinephiles!

Blood and Treasure's affection and respect for countless classic adventure films like Indiana Jones, Romancing the Stone and James Bond (just to name the most obvious) was a real delight to watch! The subtle and blatant references were fun to spot and I wonder how many I missed. There was a lot of info thrown at us in that first episode and it was all pretty interesting but a bit confusing.. I imagine it will make more sense as it goes on of course.. I hope. The flash backs were especially cool. The music and cinematography were really good and it felt like the old classic big films but for TV. A solid 4 stars.

Predictable_however a Fun, lighthearted off-season Show

The plot so far has been predictable especially if you, like me, are a fan of the Indianna Jones, Mummy type TV and movie shows. I still enjoy watching the show and will watch the next episodes until i don't. Which will most likely be the start of the Fall TV season. CBS was right to schedule the show over the summer to give it a chance to build the story line, characters and draw in a fan base. Because as it stands now (I've watched the first 3 episodes) it needs time to develop traction and get away from being so predictable.

Update: I've now binged all episodes. Predictability is still an issue however, it was less so as the season progressed. The season wraps up the story arc so I didn't feel left hanging if a second season is never produced. In all I enjoyed the show and will tune in for another season if there is one.

This was a fun series. A bit hokey, but good entertainment, loved all the various country scenes.

Regarding my heading comment, try and read just the ones that actually are about the show. Some people just do not understand the word 'review'. Comments about Amazon charging (I was not charged for any episode), that it would not play, etc..., are not reviews of a show, but customer complaints, and as such, should be directed to amazon itself. Posting such things as 'reviews', is, to me, just whining.

Camp and funny.

Take Indiana Jones, Leverage, The Mummy (the good Fraser version), Magnum PI (2018), National Treasure, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and Spies Like Us, put them all in a blender, and then spread that on spam, and you get something of the taste of "Blood and Treasure".

It's fun, it's funny, at times it's a bit rough around the edges, and at times it falls a bit short. But we enjoyed it.

Very enjoyable!!

Great fun watching Lexi & Danny and their globetrotting chase after treasure-Cleopatra-and a terrorist. I can't wait until Season 2 which is supposed to come out later in 2021. My favorite characters were Chuck, the wise-cracking priest, and Shaw, whom you could never be sure if he was going to be a backstabber or loyal friend.

I really enjoyed the first episode of this. A handsome young man, a beautiful young woman, some humor, thugs, gorgeous scenery, it's just what I needed when the world is going to hell in a hand basket. Frankly, there is too much tragedy, too much angst, and just too much, too much of everything horrible right now and I loved just sitting back and waiting for the comfort of a familiar story line! And there's romance!

I like these kind of movies, it has some history and mystery in it, and it has lots of action adventure. I enjoyed it and waiting next adventure story.

Very well made mixing treasure stories and adventures suspense

The program Blood & Treasure Season 1 is a very good mix of treasure stories and adventures suspense each episode leaves you with. It gets a bit slow at the end but defiantly I would look forward to more seasons as it is a good show to watch with family I guess. Thank you.

Liked This Series A lot !

Good series, and that is something I can rarely say. It was adventurous, and witty all the way through, perfectly casted.....Last episodes have so many twists. Also, it wasn't raunchy or corny, very appealing, without all the innuendos. It would have been 5 star if the couple was married or got married (I like series where they have lasting romance.)
