Once Upon A Time In Bliss is the re-release of the 2013 novel with additional content. It is the prequel focusing on CIA operative John Bishop, and activist Nell Finn, a couple who have played supporting characters throughout the series. John needs to get away from the chaos of his job. His friend and former CO Bill Hartman offers him some R&R at his nudist resort in Bliss Colorado where John as Professor Henry. Flanders meets Nell. Nell is the victim of a stalker who ransacked the cabin she and her mother live in. Henry offers to track down the culprit and in doing so falls for Nell whom he can not take with him as he has many enemies and would not want to endanger Nell. John wants to protect Nell but can he walk away when it is time to return to work. Many previous characters are so wonderfully woven in this story including Ian Taggert. This story has a sexy hot romance, intrigue, suspense and a lot of laughs. It is Lexi Blake at her best. Don't miss this one.

This was book 8 in the " Nights in Bliss, Colorado" series. I love this town and wish I could find it. I have always been curious about Nell and Henry aka John Bishop and their love story and this book did not disappoint. John needed a vacation he was tired of killing people for the agency. John worked with Ian and Tennessee when they were in the agency. John goes to Bliss to see his old CO Bill who owns the nudist resort under the name Henry Flanders when he meets Nell Finn it's lust at first sight. Nell is in Bliss with her mother who has cancer her mother is a little off. When someone trashes their cabin Henry agreed to help find out who is after Nell turns out she protest everything. Nell is also a 25 year old virgin. These two begin hooking up and Henry knows that she is submissive. This was a good read Henry will do anything to protect Nell. I liked seeing all the characters before they got with there partners and young Logan and Seth and it's good to no that Mel has always been different. It was also good to know that he was helped by one of the Dawson twins. I love reading this series this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I’m in Bliss again! We go back in time and get the story of Henry Flanders aka John Bishop and Nell Finn. It is a beautiful love story of a hardened CIA Agent and a woman who naive and trying to save the world by protesting anything that may harm it. I love the transformation of both Henry and Nell. He learns there is light and hope in this world and Nell learns she can be submissive in the bedroom and can let Henry take care of her and still keep her feminist card. Henry/John knows he can’t stay in Bliss but Nell is in danger and it’s a fight to keep her safe. Action, suspense, alien hunting, the crazy residents, the “naturist” community and hot steamy scenes are waiting for you in Bliss.

This is an amazing story. It was wonderful to look back and finally get to see how Nell and Henry meet. They have always been in the back ground and a big part of the Bliss family. We also got a look at all of our old favorites. ( Logan, Rye, Max ,Callie, Stef, Holly, and we got to see Laura’s arrival.) We also go to meet Logans best friend Seth. I can’t wait to read their story next. This was a enchanted visit to one of my favorite places. And the narration as always was impeccable

OMG!!!!! Henry, and Nell.

I have always been curious about how John Bishop became Henry Flanders, and was able to seduce Nell. After reading Henry a certain way for so long, I was taken aback when suddenly found the man hot and sexy. John is definitely the hardened man I expected. I loved meeting Seth, and watching the relationship between the two begin. It was also nice to see a young Logan. He didn't try to be Henry, because he knew his sabbatical was going to be a short lived one. Nell sure did shake things up for the deadly operative.

Nell hasn't changed much at all. I hated that someone was trying to hurt her. She has the softest soul, and is a perfect balance for John/Henry even if she doesn't know the truth about him. I never in a million imagined how steamy those two could be. Dang did my kindle screen steam up a few time with this one.

I was pleasantly surprised at the end when a certain character showed up to help John become Henry.

I love these stories set in Bliss. This one is not a ménage, but is such a heartfelt romance that I cried at one point. The characters are funny with depth. Lexi is such a creative writer. She spins a great tale and creates personalities that you grow to care about. I look forward to reading so many more. Definitely recommended. Be sure to read the series in order. Also, I highly recommend the Masters and Mercenaries series where you can read more about Taggart.

You already know that Henry and Nell are a wonderful couple from other books by Lexi Blake. This book takes you to the beginning, their beginning. You'll laugh at the antics and interesting characters that live in Bliss, Co. .
Nell is the opposite of Henry, aka John Bishop. Peace living and loving Nell. Henry needs a break from all the chaos working for the Agency. Bliss is the perfect place. A little fun, a woman to distract him. But once he sees her, well the heart has other ideas. You can always change your destiny. Life is about choices. Enjoy finding out how Henry and Nell find their Happily Ever After.

Once Upon A Time in Bliss is book 8 in the Night in Bliss series, but it is actually a wonderful walk back in time to see where Henry and Nell’s love story began. These two characters are ones we have come to know and love but their past has some fun and interesting surprises.
This book can read this as a standalone, but if you have had the opportunity to read the earlier books in the series it will definitely make this story even better.
I have been a fan of this whole series and it was so much fun to get a chance to experience some of the characters when they were younger.

It was so great to see glimpses of characters we already know when they’re younger. Though, sweet innocent Logan broke my heart. Knowing what happens to that precious kid is rough. I can’t wait to read his story and know he’s healed. Also, it was wonderful to get Henry’s story. Doesn’t it show how much he truly loves Nell in the one already in the series.
