How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsThis stand gives us the flexibility to EASILY lower and raise it for each family member.
Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2022
The original stand that came bundled with the Yamaha P125 keyboard was the X style. The X style didn't leave me room to manage the sustain pedal as the frame kept getting in my way. Plus the original stand was just too high for one of the family members. We did our research on Amazon and found this one that is very adjustable, very EASILY adjustable for height. It made more sense to get an adjustable stand than an adjustable seat/bench. We are delighted with how this fits our separate postures when playing. I highly recommend this stand. Plus it's just much much sturdier than the original one. Beefy!

1.0 out of 5 starsThis is the worst, most non-functional, sad excuse for a piano stand I have ever come across
Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2020
For the love of god do not buy this stupid wasteful piece of junk. I swear on everything that is holy that this stand DOES NOT WORK. I will give you my personal phone number and ZOOM CALL YOU AND DEMONSTRATE HOW USEFUL THIS STAND IS. It is fault by design. It only has 1 bar that connects both of its Z-legs. So it is constantly wobbling trying to find the center. It is not capable of bracing itself. I hate this stand so much that I'm going to check back in on this product every week and ensure that my review stays here. Please do not reward this wasteful knock off with your money or resources.

2.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't Feel Like I Got my Money's Worth - It Wobbles
Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2020

My biggest complaint about this is in the design of the stand itself: it has two "legs" and one "crossbar". I didn't think much about it, but this means that the two "legs" are not triangulated and no matter how tight you crank down on the bolts in the crossbar, the stand wobbles a little from side to side while playing the keyboard: not wobbly, like off balance, wobbly like the stand itself is swaying side to side. This wobbling/swaying is REALLY frustrating when you're trying to play the piano. It needs a second crossbar connecting the two legs, and I'm thinking of drilling some holes and adding one, even though I'm sure this will void any sort of warranty.

This review was hard to write because this stand isn't terrible, it just didn't seem like it was well designed or that I got very much for the $55 or so that it cost me. It was easy to assemble and does the job ok (until you start playing), it just looked a lot more substantial in the pictures; I'd have given it another star if it cost, say, $30.

4.0 out of 5 stars Small enough and big enough
Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2022

What I mean by this is that it is small enough to not take up more room than the keyboard. Its big enough for my Roland full sized width e-piano. Yes it can be side side shaky...but not sure this is a big issue enough for me as it is for other people. You could argue adding another cross bar would help this stability. I don't think the center cross bar is a hinderance for foot pedals. as it sits far enough back.

Price was worth it. and delivery was pretty quick.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for larger keyboards
Reviewed in the United States on August 21, 2021

I upgraded my keyboard from 61 keys to 88 keys, and my old stand couldn’t cut the mustard. So, I bought this stand to support the weight and size of my new instrument. This stand is as solid and sturdy as they come. The only thing I don’t like about this stand is the screws to attach/secure the keyboard to the stand is at the end of a strap, so the keyboard isn’t directly attached to the stand itself. There is quite a bit of play between the keyboard and the stand, I don’t like the movement.

All in all, it’s a quality product, and despite the one flaw, I would still recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Only stand that goes this low!

Great stand, nothing out there goes lower than 21". If you're looking for a stand that can slide under a desk and slide forward for recording music, I've done the research for you, this one. Has little plastic/rubber feet so safe on hardwood and adjustable for carpet.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't last long.

Product lasted only 6 months.... I went to move my stand and one if the sides was noticeably loose. (My piano did not wobble somehow, just have been because it was up against the wall in a corner). I put the stand in its new room and tried to tighten the screw, but it was stripped!! This is ridiculous! We had to seriously tighten the stand to get it to not wobble, and now it is striped just from picking it up. Not happy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Low 49 dollars and change price does not reflect excellent quality
Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2022

It held my Yamaha P125 easily at 26 lbs and its very sturdy, not shaky at all when you tighten all the screws. Some reviews complained the screws stripped so I made sure to not over tighten. A little tight and it is solid. Assembles in minutes. Not heavy but strong steel. The tubes are big enough squares for inherent structural strength. So the single bar that runs across is totally sufficient and the stand is firm. Good quality. Not cheap at all. Adjustable height so I easily matched up in height with the folding piano chair I bought separately, which also adjusts in height. So initial impression is excellent good quality and good functioning product. A the piano, chair and this z-stand really look good together.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price. Pros and cons:
Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2022

I am a beginning adult student. It supports my keyboard fine and seems sturdy. Big plus: it is adjustable in both width and height. Two minor cons: The cosmetic plastic piece to cover the floor end of the pipe fell off and I had to glue it back on (only cosmetic). And, the straps are too short to secure the keyboard but it seems stable without that. For the price, it works well for my needs.

1.0 out of 5 stars This stand is falling apart. The bolts are mounted into sheet steel instead of using backing nuts.
Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2020

The bolts that hold this together are mounted into sheet steel instead of welded backing nuts. It lasted less than a year under light use. The bolt will not tighten so the stand is very unstable. I talked to customer service, they do warranty service by me sending it in for repair. No offer to pay for return service. First told me to order bolts which were too small. Very disappointed. I will weld in backing nuts and repaint it myself. They should replace the unit with a truly heavy duty unit. Buyer beware.
