I read all the reviews, of multiple backpacks in fact. Went for this one and am glad I did. It fits everything I bought it for with room for more, it’s lightweight and comfortable on my back which doesn’t like anything on it. Granted I have light items in it. I’m going to Ireland so it will get tested for its ability to resist water.
Very stylish-looking backpack. Looks like it costs more than it does. This backpack is my first real hiking pack and I must say it’s very comfortable. The padding is great and the waist strap sits right on my hips making the pack feel virtually weightless. I’m only 5’1” and I did see others commented that they were low so I don’t know if that’s a plus for shorter people and a con for taller folks. So far it’s held a weighty camera bag, extra lens, change of clothes, a small cosmetic bag, a waded up sweater, water bottle on the side and my large wallet in the outermost zipper. All this and still fits under the seat on an aircraft. I fly economy airlines rather frequently and this bag even counts as a “personal item” which means it flys free! The only thing I don’t like is that’s its made of 2 zippered compartments and for my use, I’d rather have 1 large one. But that’s just my personal preference.
Bought this backpack to use as a “personal item” while flying and to do some hiking while in Scotland. I love all of the compartments and zippers. Fits well. Chest and abdomen straps are strong and make the load seem lighter. This can fit a lot of stuff and is extremely useful for hiking! It is water RESISTANT, not waterproof. But just used a poncho for heavier rains and had no issues. I definitely recommend this pack!
I use this bag mostly to take stuff to and from work. Typically I will have my MacBook, iPad, Coffee Thermos, 32os Hydro Flask and many other smaller items.
The bag is of great Quality. The zippers work very well, and the backPack has a lot of nice extrasa with tons of storage.
I have also used this bag for a couple light day hikes and it served me very well. It is comfortable and breathes very nice. The padding and clips all work very well.
I do not think this bag is built for more advanced hikes and long term durability. If you are looking for that, I would suggest bags like Gregory, Patagonia, Osprey, and Arctyryx
Bottom Line: If you are looking for an affordable backpack for lite hikes and to carry your items around, this is it. IF you are looking for a more advanced Pack, it will be worth the extra research and money.
Took this on A weekend camping trip. High capacity bag with lots of organization options. Light weight, waterproof and not bad on durability. Very comfortable when hiking. Does not have a water pack specific compartment, but you can certainly use one - there’s a compartment in the main portion of the bag that will facilitate this without issue. BONUS, there a whistle on the back strap! Was useful on our hike and was told here may have been bears. I purchased two more since our trip. One for my husband and the other, our son.
Very impressed by this backpack, spacious main compartment with a laptop pocket, secondary compartment, and lots of exterior pockets. The waist flaps are large and soft padded, and the hip belt are long and wide – the pack is very comfortable on your hips. The hip flaps have zipped pockets, and even hidden side pockets where you can stash the straps after you unbuckle to prevent them dangling around the floor (very clever!). A multitude of straps and accessories for attaching your gear and making various adjustments, even the adjustment of the upper shoulder straps. On top of that, all these features come in a lightweight pack under 2lb. Great hiking and travel backpack for sure, and terrific value at under $30.
