I Love Faith Martin Books

Ok, not much of a headline, but didn't want you to read that and not read this. This would have been a solid 5 star rating, maybe 6 stars. But I wrestled with myself between 3 and 4 stars, finally settling on 4. Why? Because of the ending chapter. And I can't tell you exactly why without ruining the book for you. What a dilemma! I can say the book was a long awaited delight to read for most of it. And I was eagerly awaiting my chance to get hold of it. But when finished I kept asking myself, where is the rest of the book? This thing cries out for at least an epilogue, and really, another 2 or 3 chapters, or perhaps an entire other book! Point is, the story is NOT FINISHED. Come ON, is there a rule that Faith can only write a book with X number of pages? Anyway, really enjoyed the book, was great fun to see Trudy maturing, and boy howdy she needs someone to guide her in the realm of relationships. And, I'm not picking at the result of the mystery, that is totally understandable, happens to police every day, BUT,,, you can't just leave a bunch of dangling participles laying around on the carpet, you have to sweep them up! Needs 2 more chapters to properly finish.
