A Wonderful Range of Darkover Tales

One of the things I love about Deborah Ross' writing is that, no matter how close she sticks to the rules of genre or, in this case, another author's world, she always manages to bring in something surprising that allows her to open up that world even more. I loved these stories, especially since every one involved people facing unprecedented challenges that they solved in a way that was surprising, often delightful, and fit perfectly with their character. Ms. Ross has been involved with nearly all of my favorite Darkover stories and these are some of my favorites.

This is mostly if not all previously published content. I'm pretty disappointed. The closing reads like an advertisement for upcoming publications. This was not good use of my $6.

This is a great read and Ms. Ross and her contributors have given us some wonderful stories to enjoy. For people who have been enjoying Darkover stories they will definitely recognize the care used to write these down. They will especially enjoy the goal one! Enjoy!
