Maxi Cosi is the best. Upgrade from the Doona

My little one was super excited to see this baby arrive. She has upgraded from her Doona and now she can sit up and see lol. This car seat is very comfortable and my little on is very pleased as well. The only thing is, it’s kinda big and bulky but for the comfort I would still buy it. Very easy to install and comes put together just adjust the straps. Easy take out and put baby in. Not bad for the price at all🥰

NOT A REAR FACING SEAT. WAY TOO LOOSE

UNSAFE! WAY TOO LOOSE!!! Had this in my car for 10 minutes before I decided on returning. Definitely NOT for rear facing!!!!! It has two buckles that connect in the crack of the vehicles seat and the seat belt goes through the car seat under the infants legs so nothing is holding the back of the car seat down. All THREE buckles were pulled as tight as can go (by 3 men) and still moved 10+ inches when the manual says it should move more than a half inch.. this also makes it a hassle if you swap vehicles often having to tighten it this much every time. very disappointing as this is supposed to grow with your child. May work forward facing but NOT SAFE rear facing.

Plush but Plastic

My first impression is that this will be very comfortable for my baby.

There are definite downsides- even with a towel it is not quite reclined enough so I will switch out the towel for a bigger one so my 15-month old will be slightly more inclined. I am 5’1”, and this carseat is almost touching the driver’s seat (this will make it very difficult if my husband is driving).

I understand how people have trouble with the Latch. The width of the carseat means you can’t pull the strap at the right angle. I fixed this by removing the cupholder and threading the strap through it. I then knelt on the carseat, squeezed it down and pulled the strap up through the cupholder. Once it felt secure, I pushed it back through the hole and replaced the cupholder. That might not work for everyone but helped me.

I like the headrest on this one over my Britax (the broken styrofoam was the reason I did not buy another Britax or replace the headrest), but I miss the Britax’s steel frame. This one is lighter, but mostly plastic so it does feel slightly less safe.

This seat was a real upgrade in size for our growing baby. Purchased for her at 12 months we hope this will last us a few years as she grows. All car seats have to meet the same safety standards so when you pay extra it’s basically for nicer fabric and ease of cleaning etc.
this seat was not super easy to install and that is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. For this much money it should have retractable straps like the uppa baby Mesa baby car seat (5/5). Otherwise this seat looks nice, our baby now has more room for long car rides and we will have to see how easy it is to wash once it is a bit soiled.

Comfy safe but challenging install

Bought for 2-year-old granddaughter. It's a beautiful, soft and very safe seat but challenging to install in my Infiniti QX50. Because she is a little small for her age, I wanted to keep her rear-facing in the semi-recline (stage 2) position. I read and reread the manual and watched videos, but couldn't get the seat to tighten sufficiently in the center back seat. So I drove to my local fire department, where trained car seat technicians will inspect for correct installation. They advised a back side seat installation for my model of car and then reinstalled for me. It's now perfectly tight. If you have a smaller SUV, you may want to consider a car seat with a smaller footprint. But overall, granddaughter is happy, I'm happy.

My daughter, 6-7mo gets car sick whenever we use this car seat. I think it's because she can see outside and that makes her sick, or dizzy maybe. IDK.

Also, when she sleeps her head drops in a way that makes me concerned about asphyxiation. Definitely better for an older kiddo, but it works so far. I just have to put up a blanket in front of the window.

I gave it 4 stars because while it is a great seat for most I bought it because of the weight range limit. My daughter is five years old and closer to the end of the range (she’s in the 90th percentile) and while her weight is under the limit it is a narrow seat. It fits her now but may get uncomfortable for her soon.

Purchased this for my granddaughter when she was 5 months because she was growing out of her carrier. Would have made this purchase from the beginning had i known using this product for newborns was an option.
Easy to install, Appeared to be a bit lose at first but no longer. You also have the option to use the car seatbelt...safety first!!!. Bulky but works just fine in the Passat and super comfy!

We have it rear facing and it is installed safely- we took it to the fire station to have them do a safety check and they thought it looked great. I love the sand color, matches my tan interior.
