This book makes you feel a lot. I felt so many emotions during this book. Yet despite all the sad and hurt I end up feeling in this, because warning this book is sad, I can’t help but reread it time and time again. You don’t need to have read Supernatural prison series to enjoy this book. While there are references to it, I hadn’t read it when I first went through this book. I enjoyed it all the same. Though I will admit after reading the prison series, I realize how many references there are.
I wanted to scream sometimes during this book. They needed to talk so many times. All of them did. That is what broke them all and cause so much pain.
I completely understand why this didn’t happen, but I wish she cried in front of them. I wish she pretended to move on and Asher gets jealous. I think it would’ve been interesting if she tried to move on and go on a date with Damon. I think it also could’ve been interesting if she went to Stratford. If they had her actual number and texted her during this. If they texted her. If they told her at least what they were doing and clued her in. Having them work as a team makes them so much stronger. Even if they wouldn’t be close to each other. I think it would have been interesting if only Asher and Maddison weren’t speaking to each other and the boys were kind of like a go between. Or have seen what Asher went through and saw during the time they thought he was dead. Or the time he was trying to ignore Maddison. Or read what would happen if Maddison died before Asher. I think that would be very interesting as well. Have the story from Asher’s perspective. Or what Maddie would do if she knew Asher thought her dead and she was with her god parents. Again, it suits the story way better the way it happened. I completely understand why these didn’t happen. That doesn’t make me wish any less that I could have seen some of these things happen. Fanfics of alternate realities maybe?
End of spoilers:
All in all though, this was an amazing book and I already ordered the next book. I can hardly wait.
