I had just purchased, and had been using, a pair of Crocs when at my standing desk to keep from having a mat to move around or store. However, that proved to be less effective than desired. I needed something smaller, so I measured my space and gave this mat a try. It was such an improvement. Normally, I would only stand up for about 30 minutes, but now I can stand for 1-1.5 hours. Since the mat is smaller, it easily slides under the desk and I rest my feet on it while sitting. I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it (P.S. It goes perfectly with the decor in our Bat Cave).
I was shopping around a lot for a standing desk mat, looking for a combination of quality and value and landed on this one. Aesthetically, it obviously isn't the greatest, but is very functional and has the varied terrains so it's a step up from others. Mine happens to fit perfectly under my smaller desk, so I would definitely measure to see if it's a good size for your needs.
The size is very appropriate since my room only has a tiny space under desk. Although the web description specifies it is for commercial purpose, I think it can be used working from home too. There is no bad smell. Easy to clean. Two caveats that I wish the vendor can improve. One, I wish it can be thicker (the main part of mat in the center). Two, if the mat is placed on the hardwood it is slippery (even there is rubber underneath).
I bought this for a stand up desk we purchased for a home office set up in living room. I like that it is small, fits under desk, and does not interfere with chair when the desk is in sitting mode. Good quality w/ very basic features. Good price point. I recommend it.
This is a great mat, and is very comfortable for short periods. However, I'm using it on concrete, and my feet get somewhat fatigued after about 6 hours. I'm sure if it was used on a softer surface, it would be comfortable for a full 8 hour shift.
Like many folks these days, I'm working from home. I have my computer workstation set up in a garage. And like most garages, my floors are concrete. I can't remember the last time I stood standing in place on a hard floor for eight hours a day. But it turns out that it's not only uncomfortable, it's actually becomes painful. At first, I just stood on the concrete floor. That was down right painful. Then I used one of those 3/4" interlocking tile pads. That helped a little. It was still an improvement. Then I saw this batman logo looking mat. I didn't really know why this was designed this way, but I figured I'd give it a try. First off, it was a huge improvement over what I had been using. Secondly, the reasoning behind the design became immediately apparent. All those different angles provide a different position to rest your feet instead of standing on them flat the entire time. Overall, I'm much happier to have gotten this one over the standard flat ones that I was looking at when I first starting searching for an anti-fatigue mat.
