There Are Much Better Books Out There
Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2019
This is not a terrible book, but it is likely to disappoint many buyers. There is not much detail about the races and little more about the technical development of either the Fords or Ferraris. For example the 1967 races at Spa, Monza, the Nurburgring, and the Targa Florio are covered in a total of three paragraphs covering maybe a quarter of a page. Given the limited space (115 pages of actual text with many pictures), the amount devoted to various biographies seemed excessive and quotes from books by Mark Donohue and Mauro Forghieri are frequent. I get the feeling that this was hastily put together to capitalize on the film.
