I purchased a 2 pack of the Teskyer playing cards (waterproof plastic, poker size, jumbo index). I had never purchased this brand previously but wanted to try them to see if they were the same quality as the Copag or Da Vinci cards I typically buy. At $4 per deck, this seemed like a good value at half the price I’m used to paying for other brands. The Amazon reviews looked promising, since most reviews were positive with some negative reviews. I was optimistic. The cards were delivered on time today. I just opened one of the decks, and measured the cards; they are the correct poker size (about 2.5” x 3.5”) as described. They are the jumbo print as described. They are plastic as opposed to the non-plastic that wear faster . . . so far so good. Then, I inspected the backs of the cards. The reason I did this is that the backs of the cards need to all be uniform (e.g., same patter, same color, etc.). What I did was held each card arm’s length from my face for one second. If I didn’t notice a mark, it went in the good stack. If I noticed a marking, it went in the bad stack. 10 of the 52 cards in the deck are marked. You are not going to notice unless you look at the card; in other words, they are not huge marks that cover the entire card, which you could notice out of the corner of your eye. Instead, the marks are either a white or black dot, or small discolored line. Having any marked card in the deck is unacceptable; 10 is way too many. I haven’t played with this deck yet to see how it holds up. I also haven’t yet contacted the seller. My thought is that these cards might be nice if you are playing a game just for fun amongst friends and family. However, if you plan to play poker or another card game and have any money involved, these are not the cards to use. Anytime I play with cards, and a single card is marked (small bend in corner, etc.), then the entire deck is worthless. I definitely will not buy this brand in the future.
