Doesn’t remove as much water as they claim

So this summer has been very humid. I have zero moisture issues in my basement. I have a ranch so the bedrooms etc are all on the first floor. The house has been at 60% humidity, but at times reached 80%. I bought this unit to bring the humidity down in a little over 2000 sq ft on one floor. While I’ve used this for the last 2 months without issue, I’ve been curious so yesterday I measure how much water it removed. It was about 2 gallons in a 8 hour period with the humidity levels still remaining at about 60%. Today I finished installing an aprilaire whole home dehumidifier and in a matter of 2 hours it got the house down to 55% which was my set point. Lastly, this Alorair unit was previously running in my finished basement which is roughly 1100-1200 sq ft. of open space. I would also say that while running down there it did keep the basement below 60% but didn’t seem as impressive as claimed. I would say however that it seems to be very well made, I just don’t think it removes as much water as stated.
