I loved this heroine.
I really loved how neither main character compromised their morals, even while in the terrible situations that they were trapped in. Super honorable and lovely.
But I especially loved Millie, she began the story struggling to fit into her world and trying to force herself to bend to please her family but it was so satisfying to see her grow and recognize what was right, and what she truly needed for her life. I was cheering on the main characters and so thankful they had their faithful friends through it all. I did feel like the hero was a little dense at times and I would find myself getting a little frustrated with his oblivious nature but he’s a good man who means well so it’s easy to forgive him.
Lord Neil was a surprising character, I’m glad he gets his own story. I didn’t really feel any curiosity toward him before this book, he just seemed like a supporting role in the previous books but I was pleasantly surprised by his role in this story. I’m excited to read his book next.
As always this author keeps things fresh and engaging. Her characters feel real and her storylines are captivating. I honestly had no idea how the conflict would be worked out, I was on the edge of my seat through all the tension. I loved the ending, it felt bright and joyous. I also loved Sarah. What an awesome friend she is.
Clean Romance, nothing more than mild kissing.
No Violence: The heroine is accosted but it’s not described and she was never physically harmed, but some people may need a warning. I thought it was well done.
