I loved this heroine.
I really loved how neither main character compromised their morals, even while in the terrible situations that they were trapped in. Super honorable and lovely.
But I especially loved Millie, she began the story struggling to fit into her world and trying to force herself to bend to please her family but it was so satisfying to see her grow and recognize what was right, and what she truly needed for her life. I was cheering on the main characters and so thankful they had their faithful friends through it all. I did feel like the hero was a little dense at times and I would find myself getting a little frustrated with his oblivious nature but he’s a good man who means well so it’s easy to forgive him.

Lord Neil was a surprising character, I’m glad he gets his own story. I didn’t really feel any curiosity toward him before this book, he just seemed like a supporting role in the previous books but I was pleasantly surprised by his role in this story. I’m excited to read his book next.

As always this author keeps things fresh and engaging. Her characters feel real and her storylines are captivating. I honestly had no idea how the conflict would be worked out, I was on the edge of my seat through all the tension. I loved the ending, it felt bright and joyous. I also loved Sarah. What an awesome friend she is.

Clean Romance, nothing more than mild kissing.
No Violence: The heroine is accosted but it’s not described and she was never physically harmed, but some people may need a warning. I thought it was well done.

3.0 out of 5 starsToo Worldly
Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2022
This book was a roller coaster ride. I hated the plot where Millie was willing to ruin good people to see her family reinstated into high society. Just when Millie was softening, and I thought the book was getting better, she would be persuaded to continue. I found it too frustrating for words. It was labeled as Christian, but I saw nothing Christian about it. God, faith, nor prayer was ever mentioned. The novel was very worldly in its values, and those values never really changed. It did get better after Millie confessed to Isaac, but this happened late in the book. The ending was also good, but it didn’t make up for the bulk of the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another winning clean romance from Sally Britton! Loved it and read it all today.

I am an avid reader of Regency romances and love free books so much so that most of my Kindle books are borrowed or free (even if I've never gotten around to reading them yet). I don't even remember how I discovered the first book by Sally, but I was immediately a fan. I have, as cheap as I am, bought every single book of hers and will continue to preorder anything she puts up for sale on Amazon. And I always make sure to leave a good review.

I love Sally's books. Her stories make me laugh out loud, make me fall in love with her characters, make me get teary eyed over the stories, and make me want to have words with people who leave her poor reviews. Her books are clean and well written and amazing. I am and will be a diehard Sally fan! Also, I've talked to her over Facebook Messenger too and she's amazing in real life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Isaac’s story had a lot to live up to and it has definitely succeeded!

Inglewood has been such a great series, and I have been really looking forward to Isaac’s story. Isaac is a fan favorite with so many people. I felt that Isaac’s story had a lot to live up to and it has definitely succeeded!

The first appearance of Isaac in this book reminds us of why we love him so much. I loved seeing Isaac open up and he has the best sense of humor. I wasn’t sure who I really pictured him with but Millie turns out to be perfect for him.

“And the way Isaac stared at her, a depth in his eyes that nearly invited her in, offering to make her a part of something different—”

Millie and Isaac’s meet-cute is so funny. I love a good meet-cute.

“From the first moment I saw you, pretending you were a groundskeeper, I have thought you handsome, witty, and most infuriating.”

Sally Britton has such a great flow to her writing and the books are always hard to put down. She also writes characters that really stay with you long after you finish reading.

Lord Neil is one of those characters you don’t like at the beginning but than want to know more about. I was glad to hear that he will get his own story.

This book can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the entire series to really get to know the back story.

5.0 out of 5 stars A stunning regency romance unlike others: A tale of 2 families, intrigue, deception, betrayal.

An exceptional Regency romance which does not rely on violence, profanity or overt sexuality to entertain. It does that in spades delving into the lives of the principles of the story. Millie's family has been shunned from polite society by her older sister's elopement. To get back into good graces she is coerced into some nefarious, underhanded activities by the haughty and powerful Marchioness Olivia. One of the targets of ruination is Sir Isaac Fox, just recently returned from the wars on the continent minus an arm and suffering with PTSD. It soon becomes apparent that a powerful romantic chemistry builds between the brooding baronet and Millicent. A tug of war develops in Millie's conscience as she desperately tries to succeed in her mission to take down Sir Isaac. The story line, the dialogue, the feud between the two neighboring country families makes this a scintillating, fascinating read. The snobbish cruelty of the ton is revealed. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Isaac and Millie.

Isaac returned from the war with one less arm, nightmares, broken and a deep loneliness. His closest friends have since married, deepening his loneliness. While out walking on his property he meets an intriguing young woman , Millie with red hair who believes him to be a gardener. She is asking questions about him. As they come to know each other, she admits that she has made a bargain with his neighbor Olivia to hurt him because he scorned her in the past. But Millie can’t go through with it because she is starting to fall for Isaac and he for her. Their story is so sweet. I loved Isaac in the other books and love him more now. He deserves happiness and Millie may just be the one for him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finding Isaac🐺💘

Engaging story about Isaac🐺 Fox, a permanently maimed army officer who is also a baronet. He wants to marry Millie💃💋 ,the granddaughter of an Earl and Great granddaughter of a Duke, but she has issues, too, none of them really relating to the fact that Isaac🐺 has only one arm💪. Isaac🐺 thinks it's about his injuries, though, and The fact he's not wealthy or of higher station.
However, it's really all about Millie's sponsor, Lady Olivia👺, and her quest for a perceived revenge she must have against Isaac, using Millie💃💋 as a pawn.

This is a very well written and plotted out Regency Romance💕. Well above the average novel.

Millie makes a deal with the devil herself to try and get her family back in good standing with society. The frustration with the situation her mother has put her in makes for a great struggle, especially when she meets Sir Isaac who is suspicious of her. I like how Britton has worked in the character of Lord Neil so we want to know more about him and what is going on in his head. Why does he play the "layabout" in society? Why did he flirt with Esther previously? Will Silas, Esther, Grace, Jacob and Isaac come to his rescue in the next book?

5.0 out of 5 stars A very satisfying love story.

The story was a strong 4 1/2 stars until the end, which was so nice that I had to give it 5 stars. Isaac and Millie had personal challenges, but managed to find their way. I really liked how the small children and babies were portrayed, and it was delightful to see how much Isaac adored his tiny nephew. There were plenty of strong feelings between the characters but the story was PG. This wasn’t my first book by this author, but I really enjoy her writing and I look forward to reading more.

On the Good Hearts team we have Millie Wedgwood, Sir Isaac Fox, his sister Esther, and his brother-in-law Silas Inglewood. On the Evil Hearts team we have Lady Olivia and her cruel set of friends and family. I love the good people in this novel and strongly dislike the bad ones, so job well done. Miss Britton has done a remarkable job of telling their story. I love the plot line and twists. I read this book out of order in the series and can't wait to start at book 1 and read the rest!
