To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I bought this for my 12 yr old niece to help explain “who” Ruth Bader Ginsburg is and the importance of her position as the first female appointed Supreme Court Justice and all of her accomplishments that lead her to that position. This is Great for kids ages 11+ yrs. Very easy to read, pictures, informative. If I could give it more stars I would !!
What I love about this biography written for children is that so many antecedents from RBG's childhood lead the reader to understand how RBG became the person she is today. So much context is embedded, helping kids understand what the world (and country) was like way-back-when. Besides RBG's story, you get a history lesson, a civics lesson, and a bunch of fun facts to boot. Illustrations are a plus too. I have now bought copies for most of the kids in my life, and will be getting more for some of my grown-up friends.
I loved the book. She did sooo much in helping Women. She is an incredible person. If I was a teacher, every elementary class should read this book. I just bought it because Iike her, She is inspiring?
So glad I found this book. My kids and I watched Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s televised funeral. I added that to our Virtual Learning History lesson that day. Later that day I found this book and began my own research about her and also found some assignments from Teachers Pay Teachers that I will be utilizing for some extra learning at home.
