This is Aziz’s story. Aziz is an oddity in a matriarchal society. Due to a curse there are no princesses to be had in Lotus court so Aziz is Prince. His future bride has run off thinking he was obligated to go to the Queen and not sticking around long enough to find out that wasn’t the case. This story will take you on a roller-coaster ride of love and adventure. This is a sweet, sexy and sassy book that had me laughing one minute and sweating the next. A terrific addition to the series.
With Gen gone Aziz is a wreck. He can’t locate her even in the dream realm. The rescue mission is productive but brings more problems. With Gen back at Lotus, plans are made to stop this nefarious enemy. Babies, a wedding and three Oni now are free to leave...oh and a honeymoon. Can’t wait for more from the Lotus Court!
Faerie just got a lot better. I didn't want to put the book down. You will laugh and cry with these characters as they realize where they are supposed to be. I cannot wait for the next installment of this series.
If you have been following the Sleeping Court series you know that Prince Aziz has been searching high and low for Gen since she disappeared after Verity was crowned Queen of Faiery. We finally get to discover what happened. You don't want to miss this exciting tale!
I loved this book. One of my favorite things about the Nightmare Courts is that you never see the end of a character. Having some of my favorites from other series coming in enriches the story so much. Especially when a quirky demon and mischievous nymph get to play off each other.
I love Aziz and his girls. Kaelyn is just flipping hilarious and I’m claiming her as my spirit animal. I’m very intrigued to see what happens with Afton and Jed as well as Eli. These characters continue to draw me in and leave me begging for more. Wonderful job as always ladies!!
I've been looking forward to Aziz and his Lotus Court shenanigans. This book was so fun! The snark, the sexy times, and the adventure! Loved how the "non-romantic" Prince figures out the ways to woo his girls and make them his. The backstories on Kaelyn & Gen were great too. I hope we get to see more of all of them. All of our favorites from the previous Courts show up, and some of our special side-characters too. Fate has a way of making things happen for a reason, and I feel that she has stepped up big time for The Lotus Court.
**A bit more on the "adventure" part of this story. Without giving away plot points, and maybe aging myself, there were parts of this story that unfolded like an old fashioned action flick. Think back to Jean Claude VanDamme movies. It was fun, entertaining and bloody good action.
After Prince Aziz’s, Captain of The Guard, Gen, went missing, he fell apart. Gen wasn’t destined for him but they were best friends who fell in love slowly. Gen left because Aziz was destined for the Queen and she didn’t want to be second best.
In other books we heard how Aziz fell apart and was tearing all over the place trying to find his Captain, but this was the book that tied it all together. It filled in a lot of holes. Gen had gone of her own volition but had decided to return just before she was captured.
This book covers recovering Gen and the events that followed, including Aziz having to convince her that she was truly his first choice and not an afterthought.
As with all of the books in the various linked series, the writing is fun and filled with banter. The book moves the series forward, but not by much. This is really just about Aziz finally getting to be happy after so long. It’s sweet and funny and a really enjoyable read.
If you haven’t read any of the other books, I recommend you start right at the very beginning with The Sleeping Court books. They are well worth a read.
