Budget Sound System
Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2020
If you want a home theater, keep looking.
If you have a small living room/bed room and want something more than a soundbar,
this might be for you.
I got this for my ps4 because it has an optical in
and it does a good job of immersing me in the experience.
The bass isn't gonna knock pictures off the wall,
but overall the sound is clear, balanced, and no rattling at higher volumes.
The bass doubles as the receiver and there is no function for feeding video at all.
It functions like a stereo with 5 speaker channels plus bass;
So, keep that in mind.
You can control each speaker volume independently (including the bass),
so it gives you freedom to find the sweet spot depending on your set up.
I knew this wouldn't be comparable to a 500+ dollar theater set up from the start,
so my expectations line up with the reality of this systems' performance.
My small bedroom is filled with sound from every angle.
Nothing is falling off my shelves or walls, but this is a huge step up from a single soundbar.
If you know what you are getting then this is a steal.
If it breaks or shorts out in a few months I'll update this review,
but out of the box I'm 100% satisfied for the price.
