A New Salvage Trilogy!
Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2020
Following up on the solid success of the first Salvage Title trilogy, Kevin Steverson has decided to do it again. This book is the first of a new trilogy using the same suite of characters and set a year or so later.
The Salvage Fleet and system have grown as all manner of folks have joined their forces or sought new homes on the Salvage planet. Most of the mercenary forces are welcome, a few have dubious intentions and are politely if firmly warned away. Troops are training, forces are building up, colonies are being established, new materials are being mined.
As all of this is happening, some races are deciding to take advantage of opportunities for expansion. The Nazrooth System is attacked and calls for aid, and the compelling nature of their plea for help reaches Tomeral. But can he marshal enough forces to free the system while still protecting Salvage? The cause is just but will it be enough?
Very solid book; the new series sets up well and has a satisfying conclusion. If you liked the first series, you'll like this one.....recommended.
