Distance learning made easy!

I bought this document camera to help aid in distance-learning this year. I am super impressed with the ease of it. It is easy to set it up it’s just basically plug and go. Literally all you have to do is open up your zoom platform click share screen after you’ve already plugged the document camera into a USB port Then share screen and there you go or you can download the OkioCam software that is a Google extension that is super easy to navigate and while you are on a zoom meeting you share screen click desktop and then open up Google and then click the button on the camera to open up the software and then it’s already ready to go. This is by far the best document camera I have ever used and would highly recommend to teachers that are virtual teaching. You won’t be disappointed and the price is fair and a great value!

Not what I was expecting.

I had intended to use this product as an at home substitute for my classroom document camera. The one nice thing I can say about the product is it’s portability. It is lightweight and folds up to the size of an average paper back book.
This product is not a simple plug and play as I had hoped/expected. While the device has many capabilities, a separate app must be installed from Chrome to use each one. Also, I was disappointed with the image produced by the camera.
There is a help/FAQ page but, it appears none of the questions (similar to ones I had) were answered.
All in all, not worth it for me. I returned it.

I am fairly tech savvy but when downloading the application to set up this camera I kept running into errors. I have a windows computer and followed the instructions but it wouldn't open. I called amazon tech support for help and that was the biggest joke ever! The representative just kept repeating what I said and then would ask a stupid question like "did you try downloading the app?" What a waste of time.

The swivel does not work properly. The view is off the grey pad shown unless you tilt the camera. The design of the arms and the swivels is poor. The only thing that works mildly well is the refocus button. The text clarity is only so-so. I purchased the pro version of this and am disappointed. I don't recommend this product.

For the price, it's just okay. It is versatile when you swivel it horizontally, but you can't flip it up really quick to get a face shot. The pic quality is rather grainy and it has no microphone. Also, the buttons should be optional on the base because you have to use two hands to adjust the buttons. And also, why the HELL do we need to download software to use the buttons? I need administrative privileges on my school computer to download anything and with remote learning, it's basically impossible. I think I am going to pay a tad more and get one with a light, 8 mp and a microphone. Just "meh" for me.

Ugh. I know I know, at that price you cannot get a good camera. But it’s shaky if you use the buttons on the cam (use your computer). And nothing is well explained or intuitive (I use a lot of tech). Clever. And then I had to travel, was behind scanning things for a voluntary work project. Nothing clear on how to get higher res. Scanning docs, WHY would I want to have lower res as the standard setting?! Went on trip, looked at docs. Can barely read the text. Really lousy res. Maybe there’s a better setting. I did not find it. Waste of money. Will now buy a photo stand for my iPhone and use it. Egads, handheld from an iPhone 8+ gets better shots.

I have purchased both the Okiocam S and the T model to help my grandkids with remote school. The product is excellent. But the prices under the current buying options on Amazon are more than double what I paid for mine. I got the S model via Amazon direct from Okiocam in April 2020 for $ 75, and the T model (also direct from Okiocam) in July 2020 for $ 95.

Looks to me like someone bought some up, and is using the demand since school is starting to gouge on price

It was great while it lasted. It only lasted four weeks then black. Did not show up on Zoom. I'm a teacher and I tried to troubleshoot. There is not obvious tech support. Real big bummer-21 students and no doc cam till I bought a different one. I also can't seem to get my money back either.

The arm wouldn’t stand at the correct angle. Never tried to use camera because of the faulty arm angle. Much smaller than I thought it would be.
