Even my least-favourite in the series is still damn good!

I love how well thought-out this universe is. This particular book is a connect-the-dots kind of book, by which I mean it's an arc to get us from the previous book to the finale (which I hope is in the next one?). There are a few new developments, like the introduction of the Knights Magica - a sort of "worse than Illuminati" order, and another Hunter appears, but by and large the book exists to carry the story forward. No huge revelations, and (surprisingly, given the plot) no major emotional upheavals within the lead character. So if you're hoping for that sort of thing, you'll be out of luck. But it's interesting and the places feel real, and the universe has a consistency that makes for good reading. :)
