Implausible and kinda irritating
Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2020
Emma Griffin is not a good FBI agent. She is too emotional, and impulsive and has wayyyyy too much baggage. I don't know why authors think the more trauma and baggage the better. not just a dead mother. No not just a missing probably dead CIA agent father. No not just a missing possibly dead fiance. Nope she has to have all three. She also irritatingly perpetuates unflattering female stereotypes about being impetuous, emotional, and illogical and jumping to conclusions with without having all the facts. She asserts herself aggressively to the locals insisting they answer hey questions for no legitimate reason, inserts herself into local investigation (while unidentified of course) doesn't explain to people who she is yet gets irritated that people don't want to answer her questions and of course nobody guesses who she is. And for some reason she never carries her gun with her into dangerous situations or let's anyone know where she's going. Naturally, there's conveniently no cell service when she needs it, etc..
