IT WORKED on my 3 year-old!!!!

Love it because it worked! My 3 year old has been biting his nails for as long as I can remember to the point of them not growing. From first application he stopped bitting! Only had to apply it 3 times over a week and we are done! I have my whole family apply it so we can all get in the habit of not putting our hands in our mouth especially now with the nasty virus out there. Thank you SO much for this product. Changed our life.

It’s All Fun and Games til Someone Loses an Eye

This product seems innocent enough with its cute little elephant on the bottle, but once it’s applied to your nails, it turns your fingers into vicious little demons oozing flesh eating acid onto everything they touch. Hungry? Think again. Once you touch a piece of finger food, it takes on the bitter taste of the polish. Time to take your contacts out? Better wear gloves! The instant your finger makes contact with your eye, it feels like acid is eating away at your eyeball. The worst part is that you can’t even flush your own eye out with water since the water cupped in your hand also becomes contaminated with the vile substance. Then your eye swells shut so no one else can flush your eye out either. So, unless you want to gauge your own eyes out and never eat again, avoid this nail polish at all costs!

Works too well, made my daughter sick

I’m giving this three stars because while it definitely does the job, it works a bit too well and made my daughter throw up and I just wanted to give a word of caution. We used this to get my three year old daughter to quit her thumb sucking habit. She did great during the day, pulling her thumb right out when she tasted it. However, in the middle of the night she unconsciously went to suck her thumb and she threw up in her sleep. We thought maybe it was mostly due to a very full stomach, but the same thing happened the next night. I have removed this from her thumb and now I’m just using a bandage to try to keep her from sucking thumb. Scary to say the least, so please keep this in mind for your little ones.

This product works as expected. I developed the habit of biting the skin around my fingers when I get nervous. This product has a foul taste to make you quickly remove your hand from your mouth. The biggest issue I have is flossing. I usually floss twice again and intentionally putting my fingers in my mouth to floss is gross. Now I wear medical gloves to floss. I am hoping I can break the habit quickly so I can go back to flossing whenever I need to.

I don't hate this, it really did work for me for a while! I hate biting my nails and I only do so when really stressed. The taste of these was absolutely disgusting at first and made the taste linger in my mouth for a while, so my nails grew quite a bit!! Until one day, I got used to the taste and slowly but surely got back into the habit. If you end up getting this, I recommend getting tips and doing a really cute acrylic design on your nails before putting this on! That's the only way I got true length on my nails in the long run.

It worked wonderfully at first. I initially bought it for my daughter to stop putting her fingers in her mouth, but I started using it too because I am a BAD nail biter. I have tried everything. So I tried this. It tasted bad which is good. I stopped biting my nails for about 2 months (which has never happened in my 33 years) but then it stopped tasting bad to me. I don't know if it went "bad" (if that's a thing) or if my taste buds just stopped thinking it was gross. I even tried it again about 2 months later to see and it still had no taste to me anymore.

As for my daughter (3.5), it didn't even really phase her. She made the yuck face the first day and then after that she pretty much laughed at me. Lol she would dig it off

So overall, I loved it at first, but sad it stopped working

I think it just comes down to the individual. I had two children that couldn't stop biting their nails. With one child it worked perfectly. It tastes terrible and reminded them to keep their fingers out of their mouth. One application is all it took. The other child also hated the tasted but got over it after a week. Even repeated application daily was not enough of a deterrent. It just didn't affect them. Same bottle of polish, two different kids. Worth a try.

Ok I can see how this might be useful. But it doesn't stay on fingernails ! Turns everything you touch into a weapon. Can't touch food w your fingers at all! And I didn't even paint my nails w it! I did my kids and somehow even I couldn't eat with my hands for weeks! There was no getting this stuff off either! But here I am fixing to have to re buy this bc my child keeps biting fingernails into a quick and has one completely infected fingertip now from nail biting! So you take the bad with the good!

My son is both a finger sucker and a nail biter and I was really hoping that this would be my saving grace. I will say that it dries amazingly fast so using it on a toddler was not the nightmare I thought it might be however it doesn’t last very long at all.. within a couple hours I had to apply it again. We did not experience the taste transferring to food as some reviews mentioned and it did work for awhile but once it started to wear even slightly the taste was gone and we were right back to square one.

Trying for lip picking

I’m so torn on how to review this. My 3 year old has a really awful nail biting habit and I put this on what was left of his fingernails. In solidarity, I also put it on mine.

He seemed completely unfazed by it and continued to chew on his nails. Meanwhile, I briefly put my finger in my mouth ONE TIME and had the taste of vomit in my mouth for hours.

It was effective for me but apparently some kids this doesn’t work for at all.
