Especially helpful was his detailed explanation of the power of the Vagus nerve. His mindful yet practical approach allows an individual to sculpt a life resplendent with magical creative abilities. I am pleased that I included his work in my quest to maximize spiritual growth while attending to the tasks necessary to achieving successful interaction with others during work and play. This is an excellent book that helps the reader understand how many seemingly unrelated actions come together for brain health. The one area of weakness may be its lack of much consideration of dietary effects but there are many other books that focus on that area. I particularly found the section on the relationship between vagal nerve activity and brain health to be interesting and not generally found in other overview books on brain health.
This is the second book of Peter Hollins that I have read. Like the first book, this one was written in an easy to follow style. There was a lot of helpful information and advice for handling stress. The information on the vagus nerve was new for me. There was so much "food for thought" throughout the book. This should be on any shortlist on the subject. I highly recommend this book.
