Not my cup of tea.

The series featuring Josie Quinn are quick, readable and center only on Josie’s friend or relatives. The only people who come to harm are her relatives or close friends. (Ex husband, ex husband’s girlfriend, her co-worker, her boyfriend, grandmother, sister). The plots are thin and easy to figure out. Better not be a friend of this girl. The grammar is awful. The word HAD is used repeatedly, unnecessarily, incorrectly. Passive instead of action verbs.
I recommend these books as a beach read or a NY to LA plane trip only. Certainly not for serious readers, best to stick with Tess Gerritson or Kathy Reichs.
