Is the present only now or can it be past present too? Only a Time-Traveler knows
Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2020
From the beginning of this fast paced tale you are catapulted into mysteries about the McCaim and McKinnish Clans from 1286 to 2020. Rhys McCaim doesn't believe the tale that his mother was a time traveler from Scotland in the year 1286. His parents were married, built a successful life and then 5 years ago his mother disappeared again. He thinks his Dad has lost his mind in believing in time travel. When Rhy's Dad who is very ill and in the hospital begs him to find Shona, his Mom. Rhys agrees and begins his own time traveling journey.
Maggie Irvine is betrothed to the Baron Bellecote, who only wants her castle and land in 1286, Scotland. She decides to sneak out of the castle for one last bit of freedom. She goes swimming in the Ocean and meets a strange man who is wearing clothes like no one has ever seen before.
Rhys McCaim and Maggie Irvine's worlds collide in more ways than one. Adventures, misadventures, discovering who one can trust and that love is love no matter what time period you are in.
One of my favorite Julie Johnstone and Cecilia Meccaca books. I can't wait for the next book in the adventure.
