Excellent Cap story, but still mixed bag

ta nehisi really captures the voice of captain America, but unsettling to both the captain and the reader everything else is upside down. Cap was framed for being in Hydra, America’s enemies are in power — a perfect metaphor for the trump years.
There’s sadly a lot of vitriol poured at this title and it’s author. While ta nehisi coates‘ Black Panther works better because of its constant world building, these issues read well, but not quite as great.
The art is good, but mismatched. Yu does excellent work but can feel stilted and rough at times. Kubert manages a better job, though.
I read this in the digital edition. Word of warning — one double page spread, featuring the prison, completely skips a whole section of diologue when using guided view.
