We have been eating breakfast skillet for few years (see my previous review 5 star). I go to order more and notice a cans that look familiar and new different looking cans. Reading the details, both cans have usual 30 year shelf life, but familiar cans have release date (this means manufactured date) is 2012, has 24 oz inside, and listed as 10 servings.
The new cans have a release date of 2020, only 15 oz, and 8 servings, and higher cost. The new recipe gives a 1 and 1\4 cup serving but only 260 calories compared to a 1 cup serving and 400 calories in The old cans.
The calories make a Huge difference when brought for hiking or survival uses.
I am very disappointed in Mountain house.
